For nearly a week I've been battling this nasty bug. I've been fighting migraine headaches, fever, nausea, vomiting, chills, muscle pain, oh yeah...and I just found out I was pregnant. Add to that the scare of spotting (something that never happened in my first pregnancy). I have not done ANY cooking. Most of this last week was spent curled up in a ball and praying for this virus forged by Satan's right hand and blessed by the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse to either take me or be done already. I've been in and out of Doctors appointments, had a trip to the ER, and am now being watched for an ectopic pregnancy. Weeeee!

I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and tonight I will be trying to do something in the kitchen other than just stand in front of the open freezer.

Let me leave you with a half-assed recipe for ginger tea.

Ginger Tea Recipe
Ingredients

  • 1 inch piece ginger (or more), peeled and cubed
  • about 2 cups water
  • lemon wedge
  • honey to taste
Directions
  1. Put ginger in a pot w/ water. Bring water to a boil, reduce to a simmer 5-10 min
  2. Take off heat and let steap for 2 min
  3. Squeeze in some lemon. Add honey to taste.
